Log Book entry: Stingray Vectacs and HC training 1.15 hours (night)
This was effectively a repeat of the day before but in the dark - always a tad harder, to say the least and we also did two approaches to the ship under our own control and one under the ships.
We were still a few thousand miles away from the main group but Maggie Thatcher had had enough and after accusing the Argies of 'obduracy, and delay, deception and bad faith' she briefed the Commons that the peace process was over and that she had ordered the Task Force 'Into Battle'. We also had just heard that a Mark 4 Sea King had crashed with dreadful loss of life the previous day. The pressure was ramping up.
