The entry belies a long day. Several other jammer kits had been sent south and one was fitted to a Lynx deployed to the carrier. I can't remember the detail but we spent most of the day there providing an on-deck alert aircraft while their Lynx was being serviced. We had to stay with the aircraft in case of an emergency launch. However operating with Invincible was always a contrast to Hermes. We never got told to wait, they always seemed happy to see us and never cocked up the tasking. Of course hindsight tells us that the missiles fired two days ago were the last of the Argies stock of air launched weapons but we didn't know that at the time.
